Process
The HCD process or the double diamond process is conducted first, by researching the users then defining the problems which helps us to ideate a solution which is then carried forward with a lo-fi prototype, then the prototype is iterated with the help of user surveys and interviews which then leads to the creation of a hi-fi prototype and then finally ends with testing the solution with real users.
User Research ➡ Problem Statement ➡ Ideation ➡ Lo-Fi Prototype➡ Iterate ➡ Hi-Fi Prototype ➡ User Testing
Research
The In-vehicle infotainment market size is projected to grow from USD 16.4B IN 2023 to USD 28.3B BY 2028, at a CAGR of11.6%. This shows us that this market has a huge scope for investment opportunities for billionaires which means the automotive UX industry is evidently blooming and will bloom exponentially.
The Automotive UX industry is based on the pillars of manufacturers, engineers, stakeholders and all the kinds of UX designers, researchers, and writers. User experience (UX) research helps us recognize the user needs and goals allowing us to find common traits in our target audience. A well-designed car interface not only improves the user experience but also increases brand loyalty and customer satisfaction. (MarketsAndMarkets,2024)
